Our story
Studio X opened its doors in 2019 at Akamwesi Shopping Mall on Gayaza Road, Kasangati, on the edge of Kampala — and has been photographing the city ever since. What started as a small studio space has grown into a go-to destination for portraits, graduations, weddings and family sessions, built on a simple idea: every client deserves photographs that actually look like the moment they lived, not a generic backdrop and a rushed pose. Over the years we’ve photographed graduates on the happiest day of their academic lives, couples on their wedding day, growing families marking another year together, and individuals who just wanted a portrait that felt like them.

Studio X offers a full range of photography services from our studio at Akamwesi Mall and on location across Kampala and beyond:

What makes us different
We run a proper studio setup — controlled lighting, a range of backdrops and props, and equipment chosen for consistent, professional results rather than one-off shots. Every session is followed by careful editing, so the images you receive are ready to print, share, or frame. We also believe the experience shouldn’t end when the shutter clicks: our client gallery system, prints, and film packages exist so you leave with more than just files on a phone — you leave with something you’ll actually keep.
