The cake is eaten, the flowers fade, but your wedding photographs last a lifetime. That makes choosing your photographer one of the most important decisions of the whole event — and one many couples make too quickly. These are the questions we encourage every couple in Uganda to ask before they book anyone.
Anyone can show ten stunning images. Ask to see two or three complete weddings from start to finish. A full gallery reveals whether the photographer is consistent all day — through the ceremony, the harsh midday sun, the introductions and the low-light reception — not just in a few lucky frames.

This is the question amateurs cannot answer well. Professionals shoot to two memory cards at once and back up to multiple drives the same night. A single card failure should never be able to erase your wedding. If a photographer looks blank at this question, keep looking.
Photography styles range from bright and classic to dark and moody, from posed and formal to candid and documentary. Neither is better — but you should love the look. Study a photographer's portfolio and make sure their natural style matches the wedding you imagine, rather than hoping they will shoot differently for you.
Ask about their plan if they fall ill, and whether they carry backup camera bodies. Rain, delays and dim churches are normal in Uganda; an experienced professional plans for all of them. A clear, calm answer here is a very good sign.
